Specialized Notary Service for Seniors
Seniors and those in medical care often need notary services but face unique challenges—limited mobility, health concerns, or simply the difficulty of traveling to a notary office. As a mobile notary serving Pinole and the Bay Area, I specialize in bringing notary services directly to seniors wherever they are most comfortable.
I understand that working with seniors requires extra patience, compassion, and sensitivity. Whether it's estate planning documents, property transfers, or healthcare directives, I take whatever time is needed to ensure comfort and understanding. My goal is to make the notarization process as stress-free as possible during what may already be a challenging time.

Why Seniors Choose My Service
Extra Time & Patience
I never rush seniors. I take whatever time is needed to review documents, answer questions, and ensure complete understanding and comfort.
Clear Communication
I speak clearly and at a comfortable pace. For those with hearing difficulties, I can write things down or communicate in whatever way works best.
Mobility Accommodations
I work around mobility limitations—whether in bed, in a chair, or with limited movement. I bring all necessary equipment and adapt to any situation.
Family Inclusion
Family members are welcome and encouraged to be present. I can coordinate timing to ensure loved ones can attend.
Capacity Awareness
While I can't make legal determinations of capacity, I'm trained to ensure the signer understands what they're signing and is acting willingly.
Flexible Scheduling
I work around medication schedules, therapy appointments, visiting hours, and best times of day for the senior.
Working with Healthcare Facilities
I'm experienced in working within the protocols and regulations of healthcare facilities:
- Advance coordination: I contact facilities ahead of time to understand their procedures and visiting policies
- Proper check-in: I follow all sign-in requirements and work with nursing staff
- Timing flexibility: I schedule around medical care, therapy sessions, and meal times
- Infection control: I follow all facility health and safety protocols
- Privacy compliance: I maintain HIPAA awareness and respect patient privacy
- Staff cooperation: I work collaboratively with nurses, social workers, and administrators
Special Situations
What if the person has difficulty signing?
California law allows signature by mark (like an "X") with two witnesses. I can facilitate this process and explain all requirements. For those who can't make any mark, there are legal alternatives we can discuss with your attorney.
What if the person has dementia or memory issues?
The person must still understand what they're signing at the moment of notarization. I assess this carefully but cannot make legal determinations of capacity—that's for healthcare professionals and attorneys. If there's any question, I recommend consulting with the person's doctor and attorney first.
Can you notarize documents for someone in ICU or critical care?
Yes, if the person is conscious, can communicate, and the hospital allows visitors. I coordinate with medical staff to find appropriate timing around care needs. The person must still be able to understand and acknowledge what they're signing.
What if the facility requires a health screening or vaccination proof?
I comply with all facility health requirements including COVID-19 vaccination, health screenings, and PPE. I keep current with healthcare facility policies.
How much notice do you need for hospital or facility visits?
Ideally 24 hours, but I can accommodate urgent situations. Some facilities require advance notification, which I handle. For emergencies, call me directly and I'll do my best to accommodate same-day requests.
Pricing for Senior & Hospital Services
My pricing remains the same regardless of location—$15 per signature with no travel fee within Pinole. I believe seniors and those in medical care shouldn't pay extra just because they can't come to me.
